Jack will return to Whelan's on Wexford street for the first time in 10 years on December 19th and 20th to commorate the release of 'Jack in the Box', a special 4 disk set including a cd of 'Lost Songs' featuring previously unavailable material.

14.12.2011 - JACK IN THE BOX RELEASE DATE

'JACK IN THE BOX' will be in shops in Ireland this Thursday 15th December. A digital release will follow and a U.K release will folow in the new year...JACK IN THE BOX will feature 4 disc set, that's  3 cds & 1 dvd with a new special album called 'THE LOST SONGS' featuring previously unavailable material such as 'Summer Wind', Jack's amazing version of 'Mack the Knife', 'The Bulls' and 'Strange fruit'.

Also included are the cd's 'Metropolis Blue', Broken Songs' and the live DVD, 'Momento'

Following on his recent two night Sell out "Chez Jack L" shows in Dublin's National Concert Hall in late November, Jack Lukeman concludes a very successful & busy 2011 with two"Christmas Secret" fan nights at his original Dublin home of Whelans.

To coincide with his first return in 10 years to the intimate music venue where Jack first made his name, Dara Records are releasing a special Christmas box set "Jack in a Box" featuring a new 10 track "lost songs" album including rare and previously unreleased Lukeman recordings.

Tickets are not being released to the general public until next Tuesday.

Jack L aka Jack Lukeman is one of our most unique and best loved performers. Described as ‘a mixture of all the great voices of the 20th century , Jack will perform his renowned renditions of the songs of Jacques Brel for 2 special nights at the National Concert Hall, Dublin on Nov Satuarday 12th and Sunday November 13th.  "Chez Jack L -- Love, Sex, Death & Brel."   

Adding to the Gallic flavour of the legendary Chez Jack L show and following in the footsteps of Brel's famous lifelong accordion player Jean Conti will be our own superstar accordian virtuoso Sharon Shannon who will be making a very special guest appearance in the show and adding the quintessential accordion sound to classics such Jacky & Port of Amsterdam...
