Ho ho ho,

Hello to all, (don't want to sound too Christmassy just yet...)

How goes it everyone? ..back with the blogging again...

I'm delighted to announce that I'll be back at Vicar St in March (20th & 22nd) for two big big shows

Tickets went on sale this weekend - so why not avoid the Christmas rush and grab a few tickets early (...if you can, and make sure you come along on the night.)

For those of you who attended the N.C.H show, well hope ye had a good night. It was nice to baptise a few new songs and the string arrangements were a real bonus. At present, I'm still working on the new album, and I'm happy to say that its sounding really great - but ill let you be the judge of that..

We had our final UK show of the year in London last week & we thoroughly enjoyed it. So a big thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello & goodbye on the night.

But back to my main news & well I'm really looking forward to be playing again at Vicar Street - its a great venue

I believe tickets are to be had at www.Ticketmaster.ie

Thanks for the continued support - couldn't & wouldn't do what I do without ye

So, an early Hari Christmas - but ill be in touch between now & then -

Until next time,

Jack x

I've had the privilege of having my portrait done by many different artists over the years, but Laurent Dareau has to be one of the finest.

I first saw his work when I was in San Francisco doing a benefit gig for Darfur. His paintings stood out from all the various things on offer that evening, and after the show he asked if he could do my portrait.

So needless to see I accepted the kind offer straight away. The quality of all his work is truly amazing and it's been said that his style is reminiscent of the old masters - so if you can, check out some of his work on http://laurentdareau.com

Another great French artist.

Thank you Laurent

Hello Folks -

Here's wishing everyone had a lovely Christmas and all the very best for the New Year ahead -

Thanks to all of you who have made 2006 such a great year - its been a busy one - but I've loved every minute - especially being out on the road.

2007 is shaping up to be a busy one - with exciting developments both here and in the UK.

As some of you may know, I'm playing The Pigalle Club in London's west end on Friday 23rd Feb - which should be a great night - and hopefully see some familiar faces there.

So for those of you who won't be in Killarney on New Years Eve - Happy New Year -

And look forward to seeing you in 2007

How you doing folks? Hope everyone is doing well -

Its been a hectic few weeks here - but have been enjoying every moment...

Id like to say a big thanks to all who attended the Vicar St shows... and especially to those who travelled from abroad.

It always amazes and inspires that people make such efforts.

Ola Amigos – How goes it? It's been a while since I've written on here last – (though I do get to check msgs most days so keep em coming!)

I must say its great to see so much action and feedback on the website for the DVD – I hope you are enjoying it. I'm very happy with it myself.

Id like to thank everybody who helped me make it…it was quiet a detailed affair putting it all together… but needless to say, I think the end result has been very much worth it.

At the moment it's onwards and upwards for the next bunch of shows… with the final few being at Vicar St. At present we are developing these final shows & working on the stage set etc.

As you may know, we just starting gigging on the road there recently and I think the new band are making a great sound. So Vicar St should be something special.   I'm looking forward to seeing you there –

Until then...

Ciao

Hi you doing Folks - how's it blowin?

Thanks to all of you who came out over the past couple of weeks to the shows.

With the past while I've been tryna finalize bits and pieces of the new DVD taken from the Olympia shows from earlier this year. I'm looking forward to its release in September. In the mean time - if you wanna see an image taken from the Live dvd - check out the galler in MySpace

Over the next few weeks I'll be releasing a remixed version of Chocolate Eyes to radio… but I'll let you know more about this next time.

Meanwhile I got some gigs happening around the place so hope to see you there. The new band is making quiet a wonderful sound – so am happy with that.

Summer '06 is one to remember my friends.

Viva the evolution!

Hay, how's it going folks,

Alls been going very well here over the past few weeks (though its been a while since my last update - apologies for this!! ...between blogs and podcasts - this side of the internet tends to turn into a bit of blur at the best of times.

Firstly, I'm gonna say well done to the London competition winners and those who are able to make it over next week - look forward to seeing ye there. Your support always takes me back -an i can honestly say I feel blessed to have fans like ye guys - I mean that.
Its been a while now since I played in London last - and with the new material under my belt - there is a real air of excitement -

Also a thank you for all the positive feedback and emails with regards to Crazy.. its funny as it was an idea that just came out of nowhere.. and having spent just a morning at it, well that was the result - so I'm very glad ye like it :-)

Over the next few weeks I'm going to attempt doing a series of video logs (Vlogs i believe there called) - it'll be something different and a bit of fun also. I'm gonna take a Vlog at random moments with my shiny new complicated phone - and post them on MySpace... so stay tuned to MySpace for this one.

Heading down to Wexford today for a show - so I best be on my way...
But i would like say just a big thank you to all of those (you know who you are) for coming to see me play live over the past few months.
As for London & Scotland - those who can make it - I look fwd to seeing you there.

All the best,

Love Jack xxx

Grass doesn't grow on a busy road and there isn't any grass growing round here! Been flat our between gigs and radio stuff as of late (and trying to find a little quiet time in between)!

I'm currently doing a few acoustic shows – which I'm really enjoying but we are back to the full entourage next week!

I hope your continuing to enjoy the official live CD bootleg. The ones I've heard seem to capture the energy of the live show. Baring in mind of course that the quality does vary from venue to venue - but rest assured - the microphones used are the best money can buy - or so I've been told!

Keep in touch through the guestbook and MySpace – I try to check it as often as I can

Until next time, Viva the evolution!

Take care,

Jack

Greeting Folks – How goes it? Listen, a trillion thanks to all of those who attended the various shows around the country (and the
Olympia gigs last week) – I hope ye enjoyed them – I certainly did – although perhaps a little too much as I fell ill with a throat
infection and ended up in bed for a few days – but I'm well on the mend now – and just looking forward to the next show.

Also, Bravo to all those singing along during the shows – I love it. Indeed, well done to the band for their wonderful performances throughout.
I hope the new live CD are helping ye relive the show. In the meantime, Upwards and onwards.

Take care

Hello and welcome back to my diary or is it blog they call it these days. Well it's been all systems go since the last the last time I wrote here. First off,
I'd like to thank all of those who came to see us at the Galway gig last night and indeed all the shows over the past week.

It's great to hear people sing back to you the new songs – and It always amazes me! I go from writing the song on my own, taking it to a live show – and then hear the crowd sing it back – This has to be one of the best things about performing – It's just magic.

I'm now looking forward to the 3 nights I'm playing at the Olympia - and also the prospect of recording the Live CD there. As you may know a live recording of each show has been available directly after the show! (I believe one of the first in Ireland to do so) – and thankfully the feedback so far to this has been amazing.

So that's all for now folks, thanks for all your support and look forward to seeing you on the road soon.

All the best
Jack x

Hello folks and welcome to my diary!

My plan is to try and keep you up to date with what's been happening so far and also about my whereabouts over the forthcoming weeks – well as much as possible!

Needless to say, at the moment – madness is all around – especially with the past couple of weeks - trying to prepare everything for the launch of the new album. It's been hectic – but I'm enjoying it all. As for the new album, well I'm hoping you will enjoy it! It's been a while in the making – but I'm delighted with the songs and think they are some of the strongest I've written (if I do say so myself) J

The songs chart the many highs and lows of life in general – but I like to think that each song has resilience at its heart. Well got to go for now, between interviews and rehearsals – Its all go. I'm very excited about the tour - as its coming together very well- and can't wait to get back on the road.

In the meantime, I'll be keeping ye posted, and hope to see you at a gig soon.

Take care

Jack
